We bring to our family law practice a high degree of specialization. To become a certified specialist in family law, an attorney must meet rigorous requirements set by the California Bar. The attorney must pass a written examination in their area of specialty, demonstrate a high level of experience in the specialty field, fulfill ongoing educational requirements and be favorably evaluated by other attorneys and judges familiar with their work. Founding attorney Roberta Bennett has been a pioneer in family law involving novel child custody/visitation cases and adoption issues in Southern California. Adrienne Liebman Flores has over thirteen years of experience in all areas of family law, with a focus on complex custody and property division issues.
In addition, we have authored many publications regarding family law matters and lectured extensively on many issues, including subjects such as California domestic partnerships and same-sex marriages, obtaining and using financial information in a family law case, and protecting against public disclosure of confidential, proprietary and/or trade secret information being sought in a family law matter.

Help for Families Experiencing Domestic Violence
There is never an excuse for domestic violence, emotional abuse or threats of violence. We work to protect the victims of domestic abuse by helping them obtain temporary and permanent protective orders and by developing child custody agreements that allow each parent to maintain a relationship with their child while minimizing contact with each other. If child abuse has occurred, we can seek supervised visitation to ensure the safety of the child while the parent seeks help with anger management or a drug or alcohol problem.
False charges of abuse: It's unfortunate, but true that some people take advantage of the law by bringing false charges of abuse to court to get an innocent partner kicked out of the family home. This can have a negative impact on a pending divorce or child custody case. We represent innocent spouses falsely accused of domestic assault.
